A Big Thank You to Our Small Farmers

All of the products marketed by Kalona Organics come from small farms, the majority of which are located in the Midwest.

Our Farmer’s All-Natural Creamery products come largely from small, Amish / Mennonite family farms where the average daily herd is 30 cows and where most of the work is still done by hand. Many of these farms—most of which are on about 80 tillable acres—have been in the same family for 150 years and have never been touched by chemical herbicides or pesticides. And many of these same farmers contribute eggs to the Farmer’s Hen House, which is located just a few miles from the creamery.
