Fresh, Distinct Products Straight from Local Farms

Kalona Organics was created to help small, organic farmers get high quality products to market. One of the most frequently asked questions is, are we a broker? The answer is, “No.” Kalona Organics only represents products that match our mission of “providing good food created by good people.”
All of the products we bring to market are minimally processed and come straight from family farms, largely in the Midwest. By bringing local products to a larger market, Kalona Organics allows farmers to do what they love: focus on their craft.
Established in 2005
Kalona Organics was born January 2005 as the brainchild of owner Bill Evans.
Bill and his wife, and six children, had moved to Kalona, Iowa where
they put down roots and became part of a community that is largely comprised
of Amish and Mennonite farmers. Over time, Bill’s connection to
the people and the land, as well as his background in finance, led him
to create Kalona Organics. Today, the company, which operates out of
Kalona, Iowa, has become an essential part of ensuring that small organic
farmers can share their all natural, high-quality products.
One of the most unique aspects of Kalona Organics is that it is truly grassroots. Unlike larger companies, we know each and every farmer we work with. We visit their land. We know their families. We understand how and why they created their product. Whether it is organic eggs, milk, butter, or yogurt, we are invested in the lives of our producers and, in turn, they are invested in the integrity of the product we send to market. Together, we take pride in the products that bear the Kalona Organics seal of approval.
